And here is one of the resulting poi veils.

You may notice that this photo is a lot sharper than many of my previous dyecraft photos, and I can assure you the color is truer. I fixed the color of the photos by changing to a gray backdrop (which makes the camera less likely to overcompensate and overexpose) and by getting a daylight bulb for illumination.

However, I fixed the focus problem entirely accidentally. I zoomed in ever so slightly on this photo... and it came out incredibly crisp. Go figure!
